What is the difference between Original and Extra Creamy?

Our Original Edition is fortified to be a rich source of calcium, riboflavin (vitamin B2) and vitamin B12 for those looking to include plant-based products in their diet. The full ingredients list is as follows: Filtered water, Gluten-free Irish oats, Sunflower oil, Calcium carbonate, Sea salt, Riboflavin (Vitamin B2), Vitamin B12, Vitamin D2.

Do they contain Irish oats?

Yes, the oats in these products are made with 100% Irish oats.

Our Extra Creamy Edition is specially formulated to be foamy and creamy – making it suitable for an Oat Latte (ingredients list: Filtered water, Gluten-free Irish oats, Sunflower oil, Sea salt).

Does Truly Gluten-Free Original Oat Milk contain the same amount of calcium as dairy milk?

Truly Gluten-Free Original Oat Milk contains similar levels of calcium found in dairy milk. Truly Gluten-Free Original also contains riboflavin (vitamin B2) and vitamin B12 that are found in dairy milk. Our Extra Creamy Edition is not fortified.

Are these products fortified?

Truly Gluten-Free Original Oat Milk is a rich source of calcium, riboflavin (vitamin B2), vitamin B12. Our Extra Creamy Edition is not fortified.

Are they the same as cow's milk?

No, these products are not the same as cow’s milk. These products are 100% plant-based and do not contain anything from animal origin. This means nutritionally these products are different to cow’s milk.

Do they contain sugar?

Yes, these products contain sugars that are produced during the manufacturing process. We use natural enzymes to break down the starches in the oats. Some of these starches are converted to sugars.

Do they contain added sugar?

The manufacturing process of Truly Gluten-Free Original and Extra Creamy Oat Milks involves breaking down starches in oats which are converted to sugars. The FDA requires that these sugars produced during the manufacturing process are declared as added sugars. We do not add any other sugars or syrups to the product.

Does Truly Gluten-Free Original Oat Milk contain the same amount of calcium as dairy milk?

Truly Gluten-Free Original Oat Milk contains similar levels of calcium found in dairy milk. Truly Gluten-Free Original also contains riboflavin (vitamin B2) and vitamin B12 that are found in dairy milk. Our Extra Creamy Edition is not fortified.

Can I give these products to my child?

These products are safe for children to consume. They are not recommended for infants and younger children as they do not provide the nutrients this age group needs. However, they are not intended to replace dairy in a child’s diet. US MyPlate dietary guidelines only include soy products fortified with calcium, vitamin A and D as dairy alternatives in the Dairy Group. We would advise that if you are planning on your child’s diet being fully plant-based that you would have a consultation with a dietitian or a nutritionist.

How much oats are in these products?

These products contain 11% of oat flakes.

Why is salt added?

Salt is added to enhance the flavour of our oat drinks.

Are there any gums, emulsifiers, stabilizers, artificial colours, preservatives or flavours in these products?

No these are not added to these products.

Are these products dairy free?

Yes, these products do not contain dairy.

Are these products suitable for vegans?

Yes, these products do not contain any ingredients of animal origin.

Are these products suitable for vegetarians?

Yes, these products do not contain any ingredients of animal origin.

Are these products lactose-free?

Yes, these products do not contain any dairy ingredients or lactose-containing ingredient.

Are these products gluten-free?

Yes, these products are gluten free.

Are these products product kosher?

Yes, these products are kosher.

Do these products contain other allergens?

This product does not contain nuts or soy but manufactured in a facility that processes tree nuts.

Are Truly Gluten Free Oats glyphosate free?

The use of glyphosate on gluten free oats crops is strictly prohibited by Tirlán. Tirlán is certified to glyphosate free certification in line with the Detox Project, based on government limit of detection protocols and default Maximum Residue Limits.

What nutrient claims can be made?

Yes, the packaging is recyclable.

Does your packaging contain BPA?

No, the packaging does not contain BPA.

Can I use these products in tea and coffee?

Yes, both of our products are suitable for hot beverages. We recommend pairing our Truly Gluten-Free Extra Creamy Oat Milk with coffee for the best result.

Why is it recommended to shake before use?

Truly Gluten Free Oat beverages do not contain any gums or stabilisers so naturally some material will settle to the bottom of the carton. Shaking our oat drink before use is best to ensure a creamy consistent product with every use.

Do your products need to be refrigerated?

Our products are best served chilled.
How long will it stay fresh after opening? Refrigerate and consume within 7-10 days.

Non-GMO Project verified

These products are verified GMO-free under the Non-GMO Project. The Non-GMO Project Standard is the backbone of North America’s most rigorous certification for GMO avoidance. All Non-GMO Project Verified products are evaluated against the requirements laid out in the Standard.

Gluten free (Crossed Grain trademark)

This product is certified gluten free (<20 ppm) and carries the Crossed Grain Trademark. The Crossed Grain Trademark is an internationally registered Trademark and can only be used under licence on food and drink products that meet certain criteria. Products must be tested for gluten content using a UKAS or equivalently accredited laboratory. Production facilities must meet the requirements of the AOECS Standard for Gluten Free Foods.

Glyphosate Free (The Detox Project Glyphosate Residue Free)

Glyphosate Residue Free certification verifies that products do not contain glyphosate. To be certified Glyphosate Residue Free, products must have no glyphosate residues down to government-recognized limits of detection (LODs) for food, commodity and supplement samples (usually 0.01 ppm), and lower levels than default government Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) in the European Union and Japan. A third-party ISO 17025 accredited laboratory tests products to make sure they do not contain glyphosate residues.
